David Catalán, a "hooligan" in Milan

Based in Portugal, David Catalán was invited to join the official Milan Fashion Week calendar. Inspired by football, David Catalán presented his proposals for autumn-winter 2020/21. This was not a debut by the Spanish designer, based in Portugal, at Milan Fashion Week, but this time the challenge came from the organization itself, which wanted to bring emerging talents to the most prestigious fashion brands in the country.

For the next cold season and anticipating what will be a year marked by football, David Catalán was inspired by the aesthetic universe of the cheerleaders. The designer speaks of a hooligan full of color and which serves as the basis for a wardrobe that contrasts extremely sporty pieces and tailoring elements. Chromatic games continue to be a hallmark of Catalán. The designer continues to explore not only dyed denim, but also the inserts that unite the collection in the same graphic language.

Club scarves were a central element, combined with blazers, knitwear, tracksuits, quilted jackets and pieces of varnished finish. The contrasts seem to be the basis of work, and at the same time the end result, of the creation of David Catalán, who had a full house in the parade this Tuesday morning.

It is always with great pleasure and a sense of mission that we cooperate with many designers, namely, renowned designers and young promises from the Portuguese fashion industry. These creators are examples of the excellence of made in Portugal.

For the development of this collection, TROFICOLOR supported David Catalán by providing fabrics.

David's evolution over the years for us is a source of pride and always leaves us very satisfied with the partnership and exchange of synergies with this Creator.

We look forward to seeing the collection on the Portuguese catwalk.
