Maria Gambina SS20 with Denim Troficolor
Gambina F.C. was the starting point for Maria Gambina's SS20 collection presented at the latest Portugal Fashion. It materializes the encounter between football and music in a disruptive but sophisticated attitude.
Always looking for construction details, Gambina removes fittings used in football jerseys of Brazilian clubs of the time, showing the body. Builds graphic stripes by overlapping materials, plays with mixed patterns, plays with club emblems prints and phrases from the New Baianos Finished Chorare album, edited in 1972 by Som Livre.
The silhouette is dominantly straight but becomes dynamic with males, pleats and layered pleats that refer us to "other" Bahians, the Barbarian Sweets.
