Chatting with ARIEV

We interviewed ARIEV, one of the designers participating in the last edition of Portugal Fashion.

What is your assessment of this edition of Portugal Fashion?

This edition was an edition full of barriers that I decided to break, and make the brand more adaptable and more inclusive on issues of gender and differentiated body types.

What was the great inspiration for this collection?

The SALVATION collection comes from an intense study about what and fear and how much we project this same fear in others . thus adding fears and barriers, which adcumulan and making the human being stop living because they can not do something, the concept of salvation comes to break this stigma.

What does this collection effectively mean to the world?

Save yourself from fear and live your truth, never do what everyone wants you to do but what your world tells you to do.

What is the reason for the choice of fabrics and colors used?

The materials used reflect the exaggeration of fears, the exaggeration of what can be created to omit our truth.

Do you think that the pandemic had any impact on the creation of this collection?

This collection had many obstacles due to the pandemic, because the process of it was 100% made by jose vieira (ARIEIV) where the demand for materials was logically more difficult.
