It is with great pride that Troficolor Denim Makers shares its outstanding participation in the Première Vision SS25 Sustainability Forum. (Decodings SS25 Sustainability: Fabrics - Première Vision (premierevision.com). This recognition is a testament to Troficolor Denim Makers' ongoing commitment to sustainable practices and innovation in the denim and textile fabrics industry.
With 18 samples physically selected in the fair's forums, a significant increase from 10 in the previous year, and the inclusion of selected samples in the online forum, Troficolor Denim Makers demonstrated its vision in creating sustainable and high-quality fabrics, as well as its commitment and contribution to reducing the ecological footprint of the textile industry.
Accountability and transparency are the fundamental pillars of the new SS25 collection of Troficolor Denim Makers. By adopting sustainable practices throughout the production process, from the selection of raw materials to manufacturing methods, Troficolor Denim Makers reaffirms its commitment to the environment and the community.
We have developed the new collection by reinforcing the principles of Responsibility, through an even more careful and conscious choice of fibres and production processes/conditions, and Transparency, expanding the scope of traceability of our fabrics.
Based on these assumptions, for the new SS25 collection, we presented a diversity of fabric proposals produced with sustainable fibres, such as BCI cotton, organic cotton with GOTS/OCS certification, recycled cotton and polyester with GRS/RCS certification, TencelTM, regenerated cellulose, Linen and Hemp, as well as natural dyeing processes such as vegetable indigo and mineral dyeing.
In terms of the sustainable side of the process reduction, we have reinforced our ECRU concept, a variety of ready-to-use fabrics in their natural colour, without the use of dyeing processes and that at the end of their useful life can be recycled more easily. It is a more sustainable finish, since the fabric is not subject to some more aggressive steps for the environment, such as mercerization, so it has less consumption of water, chemicals, energy and CO2 emissions.
We also highlight our Upcycling concept, a concept launched in 2019 and since then we have felt an increasing demand from clients. This concept consists of the creative reuse of existing fabrics, avoiding textile waste and new productions, avoiding additional consumption of water, chemicals, energy and CO2 emissions.
At Troficolor Denim Makers we want to continue to walk and reinforce the path of sustainability with Responsibility and Transparency, as we believe it is the basis for a more sustainable textile industry! We are committed to continuing to innovate and lead the way to a more sustainable future in the textile industry.
We thank Première Vision for the recognition and are confident that our new SS25 collection demonstrates that it is possible to responsibly and consciously create high-quality fashion.
Join us on this journey towards a more sustainable and (even more) elegant future!
